A SouthPark hot spot is making its way to Kingsley in Fort Mill, bringing a fresh take on Tex-Mex cuisine and an impressive selection of tequila. Taking over the space previously occupied by Taco Molino, this popular taqueria promises to spice things up with bold flavors, innovative dishes, and a beverage menu that boasts over 230 types of tequila.

 

Jekyll & Hyde Taphouse & Grill

COMING SOON: This North Carolina Franchise is deciding to take its talents south (Fort Mill). With a steampunk-inspired taphouse and grill, Jekyll & Hyde offers a menu featuring everything from tender short ribs to premium steaks. Camp Snoopy Big Update - Carowinds

COMING SOON: Fort Mill said a heartfelt goodbye to a beloved staple as Z Bakery & Café closed its doors on December 22nd. Excitingly, Z Bakery & Café is hitting the road in 2025 with a brand-new food truck concept! Details are still under wraps, but if their food truck carries on the legacy of the café, we can expect Southern breakfast favorites, buttery, flaky pastries, and the warm, comforting flavors we’ve come to love. From morning treats to quick bites with a Southern twist, Z Bakery's new venture promises to bring all the feels—plus a side of nostalgia—to a mobile format.

Named in honor of Masone’s grandmother, Elsie, the décor will feature keepsake items and personal memorabilia from Masone’s family including an heirloom piano which will provide live music. Elsie’s bar menu aims to feature a mix of classic and modern cocktails, along with non-alcoholic options and house-made elements, including dry ice, smoked cocktails and herbal infusions sourced from local vendors. COMING SOON: Mayfair Hospitality has revealed the introduction of ROAR, a fresh family entertainment hub slated to debut at The Thread in Rock Hill. Covering approximately 17,000 square feet, this site will boast a complete kitchen and bar, offering a range of activities including duckpin bowling, mini golf, arcade games, and live performances. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant themes of the 1920s, ROAR aims to infuse its casual dining experience and craft cocktails with an iconic touch. The establishment will encompass both indoor and outdoor spaces, along with a mezzanine. Simon Burgess, representing Mayfair based in North Carolina, expressed that the project's purpose is to unite the community in a fantastic and enjoyable gathering space.

The Bear Walrus

COMING SOON: The Bear Walrus is setting up shop right beside 19th at the Warehouses and Knowledge Perk. Known for their wood-fired meats and signature grilled oysters, this highly anticipated spot has already gained a loyal following through pop-ups at The Green Space and other locations. While their brick-and-mortar location is in the works, you can follow them on social media to catch their next pop-up event. COMING SOON: Sully's Steamers, a franchise that first opened in Greenville in 2013, is planting its roots in Rock Hill with a new location in the vibrant mixed-use development, The Thread. Known for their unique steamed bagels, Sully’s offers creative options like the "Nacho Maximus," featuring turkey, cheddar, lettuce, honey mustard, parmesan-peppercorn dressing, and Doritos. Three Count Brewing​

COMING SOON: Three Count Brewing, the brainchild of hot dog enthusiast Nate Mallard and co-founder Taylor Hamrick, is bringing a wrestling-themed 10-barrel brewery to Cherry Road. The team plans to transform a 3,200-square-foot space into a lively brewery experience, with an anticipated opening in summer 2025. COMING SOON: Here’s a slice of exciting news! Yorkville Marketplace is getting a new pizzeria and bar. 1786 will be serving wood-fired oven pizzas alongside cold craft beer and wine. This new spot will take over the former Grapevine location in the back of Yorkville Marketplace.

COMING SOON: York County's 1,900-acre premier park on the Catawba River continues to transform into a unique, nature-based park for recreation. This year, they are adding new hiking trails, cross-country and mountain bike trails, disc golf, picnic areas, fishing, bird watching, public restrooms, and parking.

Miracle Park

📍1005 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC

COMING SOON: Miracle Park has its final phases set to begin in 2025 

Phase 2 will include another Miracle League baseball field and a large multipurpose field. An Education Building for indoor programming abilities and to store all of our adaptive equipment will also be added along with more parking.

Phase 3 will be a retail space on the corner of Richmond Dr and Cherry Rd with a café and other businesses that seek to change the statistics for people with disabilities by having opportunities for people of all abilities by using job coaches and mentors to help them learn skills and build their resume's in an inclusive, accessible environment. Also in this phase, the retention pond will be filled and used to program therapeutic fishing. Finally, a beautiful donor recognition sculpture in this area will be through a partnership with Winthrop's Art Department.
