Culture & Heritage Museums
The Culture & Heritage Museums are a family of museums in York County, SC, which includes Historic Brattonsville, The McCelvey Center, the Museum of York County, and the Main Street Children’s Museum in Old Town Rock Hill.
The Culture & Heritage Museums are responsible for communicating and preserving the natural and cultural histories of the Carolina Piedmont, inspiring a lifetime of learning.
Their sites hosts more than 100,000 people annually. Showing 41 historic structures, including the 30 that are home to Historic Brattonsville.
On top of the fantastic exhibits at the Main Street Children’s Museum and the Museum of York County, visit the Settlemyre Planetarium, which puts on more than 600 showings annually.

The McCelevy Center is also home to the annual Southern Sound Series, bringing in multiple big names each year for a wonderful music experience!

There are also museums outside of Culture & Heritage family such as the Fort Mill History Museum, Comporium’s Telephone Museum, The Museum of Western York County, and the Rock Hill Firefighter’s Museum. The White Home also offers a large collection of history in Rock Hill.
