Kings Mountain National Military Park
When searching for American Revolution history, Kings Mountain National Military Park is a must.
The Battle of Kings Mountain on October 7th, 1780, was considered the “turning point” of the Revolutionary War in the South.
You can explore the National Military Park’s Visitor Center that includes a 26-minute film about the battle and explore the interactive exhibit area filled with artifacts. You can also walk the 1.5 paved battlefield trail that takes you to a monument that lists the names of those that fought in this important battle.
The National Park holds a ceremony on each anniversary of the battle honoring those who lost their lives.
The National Park is open daily 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 2300 Park Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
The Visitor Center is open Wednesday through Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM
The Park is closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Washington's Birthday, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
