Hobo'sThe Sunrise Burger

Hobo's started on Main Street in Fort Mill, and quickly became a local favorite all-American joint. Their Sunrise Burger may be one of the best burgers... ever. Not just in York County. It starts with a 100% Angus beef patty topped with a fried egg, Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mayo, all squished between a warm, toasted brioche bun.

Pro tip: Be sure to check out Hobo's new Rock Hill Location on Cherry Road, and, while you're there, grab a pint from Off The Tracks Brewing.

The Improper PigMary B's BBQ Burger

If you're looking for an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, look no further than The Improper Pig. Their Mary B's BBQ Burger contains an Angus beef patty perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper and topped with Mary B's famous BBQ sauce. Cheddar cheese, jalapeño bacon, and more jalapeños bring the perfect amount of heat and set this burger over the top.

Hoof and BarrelSouth Cackalacki Burger

This one was hard to narrow down. Hoof and Barrel is a longstanding York County staple with plenty of honorable mentions on its menu like the Taylor Swiss Burger (bacon, swiss cheese, and mushrooms), the Makin' Bacon burger (pimento cheese, bacon jam, lettuce pickle, and house sauce), and, Da Phat Phatty (double meat, American cheese, bacon, and all the fixings). Although you can't go wrong with these options, the South Cackalacki Burger takes home the win. This drool-worthy burger is topped with home-cooked chili, cheddar cheese, onions, mustard, and slaw for the perfect bite.

The Garden CafeFeet in the Creek Burger

The Garden Cafe is known for salad but trust me, you're going to want a little meat with your greens. The Feet in the Creek Burger is topped with melted cheddar cheese, homemade chili, slaw, and the perfect combination of mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup all served on a Kaiser roll. I don't know where that bread comes from but trust me, it's good.

Rock Hill, SC

Burgers and BarleyFried Mac Burger

You know, growing up I was quite picky, but there was one thing I always loved to eat: Macaroni and cheese. Burgers and Barley takes me back to my childhood with their genius Fried Mac Burger topped with a fried mac-and-cheese patty, bacon-onion ketchup, and all the fixings squished between warm Texas toast. This plus a cold draft beer is the perfect addition to your cheat day menu.

Cibi! Cibi! - Double Cheeseburger

Now look, I do not condone this behavior, but do you know the saying, "So good it'll make you wanna slap your mama?" Take one bite of Cibi! Cibi!'s Double Cheeseburger and trust me, you'll understand. This seemingly simplistic flavor bomb comes with two 4 oz patties, caramelized onions, American cheese, and house-made burger sauce served on a martin's potato roll.

Pro tip: Grab a bite to eat from Cibi! Cibi! during your next visit to Slow Play Brewing. Click here to learn more about when and where the food truck will be.

Clover, SC

Clover GrillBreakfast Burger

If you haven't made a Clover Grill late-night run, you haven't lived. Clover Grill is open 24/7 and, in their words, "Why not have both breakfast and lunch?" Clover Grill's Breakfast Burger is topped with crispy hash browns, bacon, and an over-easy egg. It's simple, yet, brings two of the top three meals in a day together.

Eagle's NestGrilled Cheeseburger

The tagline for this burger, "It's worth the extra calories," couldn't be more accurate. A Clover staple, Eagle's Nest has been serving to the area since 1975. Their Grilled Cheeseburger is their number one best seller and comes with a lean, 5 oz. patty served between two slices of white bread that are dipped in butter and toasted to a golden brown. The best part? It's served with your choice of toppings (mustard, chili, onions, slaw, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and barbeque slaw). Now THAT'S down south cooking.

Tega Cay, SC

521 BBQ & GrillBBQ Burger

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, the BBQ Burger. Four simple ingredients to make one killer burger. 521 BBQ & Grill starts with a 6 oz, fresh beef patty, topped with pulled barbeque pork and sweet BBQ sauce. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

The Shore Club Carolina Burger
