From Lake Wylie to the Catawba River, anglers make their way here to catch a wide variety of fish from largemouth bass to catfish. So naturally, York County is home to some of the best fishing across the southeast! Here are some nice fishing spots around York County:

Lake Wylie Dam

Lake Wylie Dam is a river near Tega Cay. The most popular species caught here are Largemouth Bass, Blue Catfish, and Channel Catfish. 

Ebenezer Park

Ebenezer Park has three public boat ramps that are open from daylight to dark. Bank fishing is restricted on or within 50 feet of the boat ramps, boat docks, and swimming area.

Windjammer Park

During the warm summer months, the beach at Windjammer is a popular destination for swimmers.  A small playground, picnic shelters, restrooms, and fishing points make the park an enjoyable retreat for a couple of hours or the entire day.

Buster Boyd Boat Ramp

This popular landing is located in the middle of the town of Lake Wylie, SC. Several stores, marinas, and restaurants are within walking distance, so this area is normally bustling with activity. A paved bicycle begins here and runs through the surrounding neighborhood.

River Park 

This 70-acre park along the Catawba River features more than three miles of scenic trails, a kayak/canoe launch, an outdoor classroom, picnic tables, and a large picnic shelter. Trails include the River Trail along the Catawba River and the Wetlands Trail – both are handicap accessible.

Lake Haigler inside of the Anne Springs Close Greenway

Lake Haigler is nestled inside Fort Mill's Anne Springs Close Greenway and boasts 28 acres of space for kayaks and canoes to be rented so you can reel in a catch! Paddles and life jackets are provided.

Lake Crawford inside Kings Mountain State Park

Providing 130-acres of space, Lake Crawford is located inside Kings Mountain State Park in Blacksburg, South Carolina! Here you'll be offered wonderful fishing access by boat or bank access. Swimming is not allowed.
