Yodell Winborn

A scholar-athlete with an outstanding high school record that included individual state track championships in both the 100- and 200-yard dashes. He set his high school’s 100-yard dash record with a time of 9.8 seconds and once scored 52 points in a single basketball game. At Clark College he excelled in football, track and basketball. True mark made in coaching where he led Rock Hill High School to the 1984 Track Championship and was named State Track Coach of the Year. Named Region Coach of the Year four times, the Herald’s All-Area Coach of the Year twice, recipient of the SC High School League Coach of the Year Award and inducted into the SC Track and Cross Country Hall of Fame.
