You may know the Anne Springs Close Greenway as the preserved green space treasure for Fort Mill, but did you know that they’re hold several equestrian programs as well?
The Greenway opens their stables up for several uses, including birthday parties, lessons, day trail rides, horse shows, summer camps, and even a program for children with special needs, called Exceptional Equestrians.
Whether you’ve never ridden a horse before or you’ve been riding all your life, the guided trail ride is a great way to get out and enjoy The Greenway.
The Greenway has 12 miles of trails that are exclusively for horses. Many of the trails even give you gorgeous views of the peach orchards, lakes, and beautiful wooded areas that transport you into the mountains.
If you’re coming on a trail ride, dress for it! Light clothing with comfortable pants are best. Make sure you’re wearing boots with a heel on them to fit in the stirrups.
Guided trail rides are led by a member of the equestrian staff and are available on Saturdays, September to May, from 9:00am-10:30am and from 11:00am-12:00pm. Please note afternoon rides are limited to six riders.
Riders must be at least 8 years of age.** All riders must wear closed-toe shoes. We recommend riders wear long pants. All riders must wear helmets and the Anne Springs Close Greenway provides helmets. Riders should arrive 15-minutes prior to the trail ride.
