Visit York County’s President & CEO, Billy Dunlap, has been elected to the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) Board of Directors, to begin serving January 1. Southeast Tourism Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing tourism throughout the Southeastern United States. Dunlap will serve a two-year term, representing the entire state of South Carolina, one of fourteen regions.
STS works not only to promote tourism but be an advocate for the hospitality industry. They monitor federal legislation and policy issues that impact Tourism. They also host an annual marketing college that leads to certification as a Travel Marketing Professional (TMP) and creates annual awards for festivals held in the Southeast. Serving on this board will allow Dunlap to make sure South Carolina is well represented in the Southeast and be a voice for tourism in the York County region.
“It is an honor to be selected as a member of the Southeast Tourism Society Board of Directors and to represent the state of SC. I take great pride in being their representative from SC and I look forward to continuing to promote tourism in York County and this great state,” said Dunlap.
