Ernest McCarter

Ernest was a football and baseball standout for York High School. He was twice named MVP and team captain of the Green Dragon football team winning All-Conference and All-State honors. A four year starter and three time MVP for the baseball team, he was selected in the 1963 draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and later spent time in the St. Louis Cardinal organization.
