A meticulous administrator who is credited with advancing the school into twentieth century standards.

Professor Lemuel B. Moore (1908-1996)
The second principal of George Fish School 1938-1947
He is credited with establishing the high school curriculum

Professor Elliott L. Avery (1880-1938)
First principal of George Fish School 1925-1938
An educator who established rules and regulations, curriculum and standards

Mr. George Fish (1868-1933)
An Englishman who was superintendent of plants one and two of the Springs Mill Industries, he became an advocate for constructing a quality built school for the Black community. The school was named in honor of him.
