Miracle Park

Miracle Park is a project designed for people of ALL ages and abilities to play and work! It will be located in Rock Hill, SC and will be the first of its kind in the US! It will also be the first park in the world to hold a Universal Design certification! Miracle Fields Miracle Park will consist of 2 Miracle Fields and one standard field. (For more information on Miracle Fields and Miracle Leagues, go to www.themiracleleague.net/). The standard field and the first Miracle field will be part of Phase 1, and the second Miracle field will be in Phase 2. Playground Miracle Park will have a state-of-the-art inclusive playground with National Site Certification for Inclusive Play! Check out our blog for featured playground equipment. Multi-Purpose Fields Miracle Park will consist of 2 Multi-Purpose fields which can be used for soccer, flag football, kickball, basketball etc. Both of these fields will be developed in Phase 2. Retail Building Miracle Park will include a retail space dedicated to employing people with different abilities. The retail space is part of Phase 3, and is perhaps, one of the most exciting elements of the park. We learned that Nationally, only 34% of people with intellectual disabilities are employed. However, only 26% of these employed adults with ID have full-time jobs. Only a third were offered health insurance by their employer, and a new survey shows unemployment rate among people with intellectual disabilities is more than twice as high as for the general population. We are passionate about changing these statistics in our community!
