about
Hightower Hall is the first building seen by most visitors to Historic Brattonsville, an 800-acre living history museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, Hightower Hall provides a historic venue for weddings, small conferences, corporate functions, bridal portraits, receptions and community meetings. Originally called “Forest Hall,” the Italianate house was built for John Simpson Bratton, Jr., and his wife Harriet Rainey Bratton between 1853 and 1854. The building was updated for modern use through a rehibilitation project to modernize amenities which included the addition of ADA accessibility to the first floor of the house. Grand sweeping lawns under a canopy of oaks provide the perfect backdrop for gatherings of up to 350 people. The house also provides over 4,000 square feet of comfortable event space.
