William Fredrick Memorial 5K

Welcome to the 5TH Annual Will Frederick Memorial 5K

As we run our 5th 5K in memory of Will, we have fond memories of his smile, laughter and love for young people. With more than 25 different sponsors and hundreds of walkers and runners, we have raised more than $53,000. From these proceeds students and children have received scholarships, and in many cases, fully funded, to attend trainings, camps, educational experiences, and participate with sports teams. We have also aided families who are adopting children.

The 2023 Will Frederick Memorial 5K will have more than 20 corporate and individual sponsors  and several hundred walkers and runners of all ages. It's not too late to sponsor the event, if you are interested please email your interest to 5K@golifeway.com. Donations are always appreciated as well.

*This is a non-chipped race. A time clock will be provided at the finish line and each runner is responsible for collecting his time. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place male and female finishers.

WHY WE RUN • WILL’S STORY
At 23 years old, Will Frederick had a lot of life to live. Recently married to Hannah Crews, Will was looking forward to having a family of his own but in the meantime, Will was pouring himself into children and students in the York area. Will unexpectedly passed away in August 2018 following complications from surgery. All proceeds from the Will Frederick Memorial 5K event will be used to continue Will’s legacy of impacting young people.
