By Way of the Back Door is a living history program that reflects on the way of life for the enslaved people who endured on the Bratton plantation during the 18th and 19th centuries. Every Saturday in February, a unique program at Historic Brattonsville focuses on the African American community’s cultural contributions and the journey from enslavement to today.
