After retiring from a career in the world of information technology, Dakin now devotes his time to the creation of art.

His abstract paintings and ink drawings are created in action, expressive and geometric styles with inspirations from artists in the New York School.

Dakin also enjoys photographing nature’s fauna, flora and landscapes in both black and white as well as color.
