Historic interpreters, costumed volunteers, and volunteer reenactors will lead a living history reenactment that centers on the Battle of Huck’s Defeat and the nature of the American Revolution in the Carolina Piedmont. Families encouraged to attend. Concessions will be available.
Schedule: • Reenactment of the Battle of Huck’s Defeat - 2 p.m. • Musket firing demo • Blacksmithing • 18th century cooking—the roots of southern cooking in the 18th century • Kids’ activities, including a children’s militia drill • 18th century laundry • Military camp life in the reenactor camps • Tours of on-going historic preservation of the original Bratton family houses • Tours of the original Huck’s Defeat battlefield
