2025 BBQ Butts Cook-Off

The BBQ Butts Cook-Off is back, and it’s going to be a day of amazing food, live music, and community fun at the New Centre Park Amphitheater, 499 Memorial Drive, in the heart of Clover! Mark your calendars for April 26th, 2025, and join us for an exciting day full of competition, great eats, live entertainment, and local vendors.

A sizzling BBQ competition 
This year’s event, sanctioned by the South Carolina Barbecue Association, brings together some of the best BBQ pitmasters to compete for top honors. Cook teams will pay a registration fee of $240 for the chance to win the following fantastic prizes:
First Place: $1,250.00 & Trophy
Second Place: $800.00 & Trophy
Third Place: $400.00 & Plaque
Fourth Place: $250.00 & Plaque
Fan Favorite: $150.00 & Trophy

Sample the best BBQ around 
From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, attendees can purchase $1 sample cups (cash only) to try a variety of BBQ from the competing cook teams. Be sure to get there early — BBQ is served first-come, first-serve, and it’s bound to run out fast! Please note that this is a BBQ sampling event, so there will not be BBQ available for sale beyond the $1 sample cups.

Delicious Food from Boy Scout Troop 37 
For a full meal, Boy Scout Troop 37 will be selling $5 plates (cash only), complete with chips, a roll, and a drink — the perfect way to fuel up while enjoying the event and supporting a great cause.

Live Music by The Possum Zombie Bluegrass Band 
What’s BBQ without some great music? The event will feature live bluegrass music by The Possum Zombie Bluegrass Band, bringing toe-tapping tunes to set the perfect vibe for a fun, family-friendly day.

Support Local Vendors
In addition to the BBQ and music, we’ll also have a variety of local vendors showcasing their products. It’s a great opportunity to support small businesses while browsing unique crafts, artwork, and other local offerings.
