Thinking of heading to the Underexposed Film Festival yc this month? Here's what you need to know.
The Arts Council of York County hosts this festival and aims to shine a spotlight on independent filmmakers. Through this festival, they encourage and support "undiscovered talent" by providing a setting for filmmakers, both experienced and not, to display their talent in the same place. The 2025 Underexposed Film Festival yc will take place from April 24th to 26th.
Event Schedule
Starting the festival, during block A, there will be a free showing of 9 films at The Mercantile on April 24th, from 7-9 PM. Block C, on April 25th, will be a special teen watch party at the main branch of the York County Library from 6:30-8 PM. All other screening blocks (B, D, E, & F) for the 2025 festival will be held at Tom S. Gettys Center Courtroom and will have paid admission. There will also be Q&A sessions after each screening, and the awards ceremony will be held on April 26th. After all the screenings are complete, head over to Slow Play Brewing at 9:30 PM on April 26th, where they will be hosting a wrap party to celebrate the success of the weekend with drinks and good company. To learn more about the Underexposed Film Festival yc, you can find a complete list of which films are showing at each block here.
