September is meant for streching out those last minutes of summer and getting in the bucket list items that didn't make it in those 100 degree days. While we wish the summer fun would last forever, we welcome the cooling temperatures over hard cider and apple cider donuts. So, let the September fun begin! 

September 12th: 

Nights @ New Centre - The Party Parrot Band

This Thursday night concert series is a blast in Clover! Bring a picnic blanket, some lawn chairs and relax for some music in New Centre Park! This new amphitheatre packs a punch of a good time. Music runs from 6pm to 9pm and there will be food trucks as well! 

September 13th - 14th: 

Art on Tap

Enjoy a craft beer and food by the Taco Boiiz as you listen to music by The Wildcats Blues Band and CYAN while shopping at the Art on Tap art market! The market opens up at 3pm and runs until 8pm. It's an easy way to get an early start on Christmas Shopping! 

Gripped Festival

The Gripped Festival will offer carnival rides and inflatables, music, food trucks, beverages, and a climbing wall. Cycling fun at the festival includes a BMX stunt show, bike rodeo, balance bike activities and a vendor fair. Gripped Festival will be held on the Criterium Course next to the Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track, site of the 2019 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, happening during the festival and accessible with your festival admission.

Admission: Friday - $5 per person, Saturday - $10 per adult, $5 per child/senior. Children 5 and Under are FREE both days.

By the Sweat of our Brows

Learn about the leisure activities that fostered a sense of community among African Americans in the Carolina Piedmont during the 1950s - 1960s at “By the Sweat of our Brows.” This year there will also be two baseball games played in honor of Wali Catcart, a former professional Negro League Baseball player and descendent of the African-American community at Historic Brattonsville will be on site recalling how playing ball fostered a sense of community while growing up in the segregated south. The two games will take place at 11am and 2pm. Admission Fees: Adults $8; Seniors $7; Youth 4-17 $5; FREE for CHM members & ages 3 and under.

The Lucky Duck: Patio Yoga & Brunch

Yogis this one is for you! The Luck Duck, a new gastropub in Baxter Village is offering free yoga from 9am-10am. Stay for the mimosas and brunch afterwards!

September 20th: 

Food Truck Friday

Food Truck Friday in Rock Hill is back! This Old Town event is amazing for everyone with more than two dozen food trucks, you can taste a bit of everything! This will block off Fountain Park and prepare to enjoy some great tunes while chowing down! The party kicks off at 6pm. 

September 21st: 

City Of Tega Cay Summer Concert Series

Don't miss the final concert in the Tega Cay Concert Series this Saturday. You'll hear Sonic Rewind at Runde Park with lots of bounce castles and things to keep the kids busy. The music runs from 6pm to 10pm. 

Clover Jaycees Fall Festival & Car Show

Come out to Clover for the Clover Jaycees Fall Festival and Car Show! Join in for family fun, arts and crafts, inflatables, street dances, food, live music, and more! It will be in the Piggly Wiggly's parking lot! 

Dust Off Brewing One Year Bash:

Come celebrate our 1 year anniversary with Dust Off Brewing! They'll be releasing three beers that day, the times are 12pm, 3pm and our final new release will be at 6pm. Food will be provided by Cairo Cuisine, Chef David Babey,Tina's Sassy Salsa and more! Don't forget to check in on the YoCo Brew Trail via the Visit York County app to get your free t-shirt! 

Nature and Heritage Festival:

Kings Mountain National Military Park's Nature and Heritage Festival encourages visitors to gain an appreciation for nature, to learn and understand their regional history, and to discover the many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors at Kings Mountain NMP and other public lands.

September 27th: 

Movies in the Park

Free Movies at Fountain Park, presented by Morton & Gettys Attorneys at Law! Bring a chair or a blanket and get some of our local restaurant foods to go, this will be a fun night for the entire family! Rec in a Box will begin at 7:30, and a featured food truck will be on location. This date they'll be showing The Goonies! 

September 28th: 

Lake Wylie Brewing Harvest Festival

Celebrate the YoCo Brew Trail's newest brewery Lake Wylie Brewing Company with their Harvest Festival!  They will be having an all-day party with live music 2-11. Food, beer, drinks, craft vendors and a bounce house for the kids will be available during the festival. Brent Cates Bandmperfomrs 2-5 pm and Carolina Rhythm Band performs at  5-8 pm. 

Piedmont Pottery & Pickin'

Enjoy a day of live music, Carolina style barbecue and pottery from around the Carolina Piedmont. Traditional, contemporary and Catawba Indian potters stop at Historic Brattonsville to showcase and demonstrate original creations. In addition to local pottery, “Piedmont Pottery & Pickin’” features crafters of baskets, jewelry and other handmade goods .Admission Fees: Adults $8; Seniors $7; Youth 4-17 $5; FREE for CHM members & ages 3 and under

Baker Farm Day:

Come visit the farm, pet some sheep, see lots of animals, and shop local artisans. All this while enjoying some live music! Don't forget your cooler bag to take home some heritage breed pork! 

iMAGINE STEAM Festival in Rock Hill

The iMAGINE STEAM Festival is BACK in Rock Hilla gain! This interactive educational festival is one you can't miss. The festival will feature hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations and family-oriented entertainment in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math) fields.
The purpose of this street festival is to ignite the interest of students and families from across York, Chester and Lancaster Counties in STEAM learning and to showcase pre-K - 12 education and career pathways. This exciting event is FREE and will take place on September 28, 2019 from 10 am – 4 pm in Old Town Rock Hill throughout the Main Street area and Fountain Park
