The sun is shining and the kids are out on Spring Break, now you’re racking your brain with ideas on how to keep them busy! With weather this gorgeous, you have to get outside. York County offers lots of options to keep the whole family busy on a small budget.


Everyone’s favorite state-line theme park is back open for the season! Try out the new Copperhead Strike rollercoaster that just opened a few weeks ago. If you’re taking younger ones, don’t worry there’s plenty of activities to keep them busy all week. Check out Camp Snoopy or the new Blue Ridge Junction, where you can mine for gems for hours.

Anne Springs Close Greenway: 

Get closer to nature during Love the Greenway month! Celebrate Spring Break with a quick trip down to the swinging bridge at the Lake Haigler entrance, or take one of the paved paths by the Dairy Barn. Pack a picnic and bask in the sunshine by the Dairy Barn with a good book. It’s just $5 a person to get in.

SouthTown Wake Park: 

You don’t have to wait till summer to get on the water, just head out to SouthTown Wake Park in Rock Hill. This cable wake boarding park allows you to try out this extreme sport without owning a boat. They just installed a brand new inflatable water obstacle course that will be open soon.

Mr. Putty’s & Mr. Stumpy’s: 

Whether you’re looking for an extreme round of mini golf or a zip lining adventure, Mr. Putty’s has it all! Located in Tega Cay is the perfect place for the whole family. Try a round of 18 holes on the putt-putt course or let mom and dad have a go at the axe throwing at the “19th hole”. Mr. Putty’s is open every day during spring break and is ready for visitors!

Historic Brattonsville: 

With so many new baby animals out on the farm, now is the perfect time to head out to Historic Brattonsville.  Keep the kids learning even when they’re out of the classroom on this living history farm.

Pick Strawberries: 

Take the kids down for a day at the farm! Enjoy the sights and sounds at Bush-N-Vine farm in York. The farm stand is open on the weekdays filled with buckets of strawberries. Saturday will be the first day you can head out with the little ones and pick strawberries yourself!

Rock Hill Galleria Spring Carnival: 

Don’t miss out on the Spring Carnival at the Rock Hill Galleria. What would Spring Break be without a little fair food? There’s plenty of the rides for kids at deep discount! Unlimited rides are Monday through Thursday only.
