Who says the whole family can’t have fun? Listed below are events targeted towards children and some events for the parents.

Boo’s and Boats

When: October 31st

Try a new style of trick-or-treating - Trunk or Treat at Papa Docs Shore Club! Dress up your boat or your family and head out to Lake Wylie for a family-friendly trick or treating event with boats and fun-filled spooky activities. If you're looking for late-night entertainment Papa Doc's is also hosting a "I Know What You did This Summer" so come dressed in the most creative costumes to be entered in winning $1,000 in cash or prizes. 


When: October 31st

Bring the kids and family out to the the biggest trick-or-treating event in the area - BooHAHA  in Old Town Rock Hill. There will be an annual costume contest, the Boo HAHA dance party, and over 35 vendors will have you saying boo-yah! 

Firelight Fright

When: October 26th

 This year, Firelight Fright at Fewell Park in Rock Hill is back with a scary good Halloween event for the whole family. Activities from field games, pumpkin carving/painting, storytelling, movies and more will be available for the party-goers. We hope you have a frightful time.

 Halloween Festival (York)

When: October 26th

 Historic Downtown York is hosting a free family-friendly evening which includes trick or treating, games, pizza, cotton candy and more for the family. 

Spooky Science: The Unseen

When: October 26th

The Museum of York County will be hosting an interactive observance preserved specimens, spooky stations, and activities. Bring the kids so they can discover the underneath surface of living creatures. 

Trick or Treat (Fort Mill)

When: October 31st

 Who doesn’t love a good Halloween costume contest? Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating and a costume contest in Fort Mill YMCA inside the complex gym while the adults can enjoy great music and food from town merchants and vendors. 

Town of Clover Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

When: October 24th

This annual event invites the community to enjoy games, activities, snacks and of course, pumpkins. This year, an award for the most original and funniest costumes will be awarded to the best fit costume. Come in your Halloween best. Don't miss Clover Police's Halloween Alley on Halloween night from 6-8pm. It's a safe trunk or treating event for kids.

Sylvia Theater

When: October 31st

 Halloween Night at the Syliva Theater offers a distinct family event and adult event with movie showings and of course a costume contest with cool prizes. 

Macaroni Kid Fort Mill/Tega Cay/ Rock Hill Trick or Treat & Family Fun Fest

When: October 26th

If you love pumpkin painting, bounce house and more, well you’ve come to either right place. Go and carve out some fun at the Fort Mill at Baxter Branch YMCA this Halloween.

Fright Night, Flight Night

When: Saturday October 31st

Parents, who says you can't have fun on Halloween either? Dust Off Brewing is hosting a Halloween night with a Halloween themed food station for the family. 

Heaven and Hell Halloween Block Party

When: Saturday October 26th

Come join Tattooed Brews, McHale’s on Main and Player 1 Up for a 21+ Halloween block party. Experience fun activities from food trucks, beer trucks, and a costume party. Costumes are heavily encouraged.

Lanterns and Legends

When: Through October 26th

 If you like ghost stories and tours why not check this out. Cemeteries are quite the attraction for Halloween. You might say people are dying to get in! Fort Mill’s History Museum is hosting its annual walking tours starting at the unity cemetery proceeding through Main Street. Enjoy the stories while learning more about the town of Fort Mill. 

Rose Hill Cemetery Tour

When: November 2nd

Ever wondered what it may feel like to walk over the bones of the dead? If you like spooky stories, join tour guides of Rose Hill Cemetery in learning more about Yorkville and its spooky history.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

When: October 24th - November 2nd

 Want to get a-head on the spooky season? Head to the White Home where the Old Town Theatre Company is playing the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Written by Catherine Bush,teh Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a story about a headless horseman who is haunting a village to seek revenge and in search for, well, his head.


When: Through October 27th

During select nights from Sept 30 – Oct 27, SCarowinds transforms Carowinds from a theme park to scream park. You can experience chills and thrill during rides, haunted attractions, and shows. No need to hide because over 500 monsters and creatures will be lurking throughout the park upon your entry and exit.
