Fort Mill will hold their annual Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday at their downtown Veterans Park.
Come out to Kings Mountain National Military Park to celebrate the history of our nation’s armed forces with historical interpretations and weapons demonstrations from every war spanning from the French & Indian War to now.
The Tega Cay Veteran’s Association Memorial Day Ceremony begins Sunday evening with their annual Memorial Day Weekend 5K at the Glennon Center where runners can “run to remember”, win awards, and celebrate afterwards with music, food, and beverages provided by the Shore Club. The remembrance ceremony begins Sunday at 10 AM at the Memorial Gardens.
Historic Brattonsville will open its doors for a day of remembrance and a ceremony honoring both active duty military personnel and veterans. The US Professional Mini Golf Association is hosting the 2019 USPMGA US Open at Mr. Putty’s. Sign up today to compete across 18 holes of the Best mini-golf in the Charlotte area and home of the longest hole in the Carolinas. The weekend tournament will also include a charity pro-am, live music, and food trucks.
Beat The Heat:
Check out Lake Wylie's hottest new restaurant! Papa Doc's Shore Club opened up in T-Bonez on the lake's former spot. Check out the tiki bar or the brand new seafood menu. Sit on the dock bar and watch the boats, or pull up in your own boat for dockside service!
What better way to enjoy a holiday than riding rollercoasters, wading in a wave pool, or beating the heat with an ice cold drink at one of Carolina Harbor’s cabanas?
Wake-boarding is the definition of Summer fun, but for the less adventurous, this weekend is the grand opening of SouthTown’s Aqua Park where you can paddleboard, lounge on the shore, or test your agility on the floating obstacle course.
What better way than to kick off Memorial Day weekend than with a movie! We will be showing Christopher Robin. There is no cost. The concession stand will be open during the event selling popcorn and other snacks. The film will begin shortly after sunset which is around 8:30 p.m.
The waters of the Catawba River have calm stretches perfect for paddling a canoe for two and some light rapids for the more experienced paddler. You can even sign up for one-on-one kayaking clinics.
