Description

“Red Planet Rising” makes its world premiere at the Museum of York County! This full-dome planetarium show explores Mars through mythology, history, literature, movies, TV and science with a look at what the future may hold. “Red Planet Rising” is a production of a Gastonia, NC based company, Planet of Mystery, which is owned by Jim Craig, former planetarium director at the Schiele Museum of Natural History. “Red Planet Rising” premieres at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2. "Red Planet Rising" runs from Tuesdays - Saturdays at 3:30 pm January 2 – March 31 at 3:30 pm. Please note: the planetarium is closed on Sundays & Mondays. Free with general museum admission.
