Cycling at the Rock Hill Outdoor Center

The existing and planned cycling venues at the Rock Hill Outdoor Center (RHOC) will offer Olympic caliber facilities for use by both beginner and elite athletes alike. Cycling amenities include: Giordana Velodrome, Novant Health BMX Supercross Course, Mountain Bike Trails, Piedmont Medical Center Trail, future Cyclocross Course and a future Road Course.

Giordana Velodrome


World-class 250m velodrome hosts local, regional and national competitions. This year-round facility offers programs for cyclists of all stages and ages, providing equipment and instruction. A certification process is required of all cyclists, regardless of cycling ability, before riding on the track.

Piedmont Medical Center Trail


The Piedmont Medical Center trail offers scenic views of the Catawba River and a great location for outdoor activities. The trail is 10 ft. wide, and it is a 2.25 mile trail in and 2.25 mile back out. The trail is a shared use trail allowing for walking, running and biking.

Novant Health BMX Supercross Track


Coming in 2014! The Novant Health BMX Supercross Track will be the only Olympic-caliber training facility on the East coast, and one of only a handful in the United States. The facility will have both an amateur and an elite supercross ramp.  The site will host local, state, regional, national and UCI caliber events with programs for all ages and skill level.
